I was a bystander for the previous round of the Blogger’s Quilt Festival last fall, but decided to enter a couple of my quilts this spring! In the “Mini Quilts” category, I’m entering this mini/mug rug that I made as part of the Starbucks Mug Rug swap last September. (You can read my original post about it here.)

This is truly a mini quilt, measuring ~10″ square or a total of 40″ around. (The limit for this category was 80″ around.) I use this paper-pieced gemstone pattern by {no} hats in the house that I found on Craftsy. I made it entirely from scraps I already had in my stash, and the dark background is actually a lightweight denim. I love how it turned out!
Even though it’s small, this is one of my favorite quilts I’ve made to date! Thanks for checking it out, and have fun admiring all the other quilts in the Mini category.
So very pretty. I love the colors with the black. What a mug rug!
What a great idea for a beautiful mini quilt! I love your nice design, wonderful fabrics and great quilting:)

This mini is so lovely! I like all the pinks and the dark background is perfect. Beautiful spiral quilting too!
I’m so glad you entered it in the Blogger’s Quilt Festival because so I has the occasion to see it!
I like the fabrics, the modern look and the accuracy of your work.
Best of luck!
This mug rug is so attractive! I love how the scrappy gems just pop against the dark background! The quilting gives it great movement, too! Well done.
