Anticipating // A full and fun weekend! It’s flex Friday and Jose took the day off too so we’re meeting up with friends at the rodeo. Then I’m celebrating my birthday a little bit early with two more fun things. I’m taking a free motion quilting class with Angela Walters (put on by the Houston Modern Quilt Guild) on Saturday, and then Jose and I are going to Cirque du Soleil on Sunday!
Bemoaning // The fact that Emma has finally learned how to open the door to her room. No more eeking out an extra 20 minutes of “naptime” while she plays in her room until we get her.
Cooking // This cranberry, feta and edamame salad for a luncheon at work yesterday. (Our awesome division secretary got a promotion and is abandoning us! Waaah!) “Cooking” is really too strong of a word. “Mixing” is more like it. This salad is so, so easy to make.
Reading // A new book — finally! — although I haven’t actually started yet. I’m somewhat embarrassed to admit that it took me 2 months to get through Major Pettigrew’s Last Stand (for my postal book club).
