Time for another round of quilts I’ve been ogling lately!
1. I love Rebecca Bryan’s Wavelength quilt — so colorful and striking! She has a book coming out soon called “Modern Rainbow” and if this is any indication of the rest of the contents, I may be purchasing it soon.
2. I came across this Storm at Sea quilt on Pinterest and my jaw literally dropped. The contrast between the Hokusai-inspired wave and the traditional background is so cool — and the wave itself? Amazing.
3. Amy Garro’s Icy Waters quilt is totally up my alley. Geometric? Check. Cool colors? Check. Paper piecing for precision? Check. I also love the gradient from light to dark. I have an idea in my head for a quilt that shares some of these qualities — hopefully I’ll be able to spend some time on it later this spring.
4. I’ve noticed that quilts with curved piecing or applique (like this Study in Blue quilt that I came across on Flickr) are really catching my eye lately. If the “balloons” quilt I’m currently working on turns out well, I may delve further into curves!
