Seen on my run — literally ~30 turtles sunning themselves on a grate.
Good news! I did an easy 6 miles on Friday and it went really, really well. My hip didn’t hurt during the run, and I only felt twinges as the day went on (and about the same yesterday). I’m cautiously optimistic that my two weeks of rest will keep any further issues at bay — at least until after the half marathon next month.
There are 6 weeks left until the race and I did a 9-miler 2.5 weeks ago, so I’m still on track. At this point, I think I’ll aim for 4 more long runs of 7, 8.5, 10, and maybe 11-12 miles. (I once did the half marathon even though my longest run had been only 8 miles, but I’m not sure I can pull that kind of crap anymore!)

I was just thinking the other day about how my longest run before my first half was 9.5 miles. That was actually my fastest half! Too bad I’m not 24 anymore.
