Time // 7:44 a.m.
Place // At my desk listening to a telecon and waiting for my topic to come up on the agenda. It’s always scheduled for ~7:45 but often comes up either a lot earlier or a lot later, which means I just have to dial in and wait.
Eating // I had vanilla chex for breakfast.
Drinking // Coffee. I bought a box of HEB’s “Christmas Kiss” blend on Sunday and it is really tasty! It advertised itself as being cherry-flavored, and you can really taste the cherry. Mmm.
Watching // Nothing. I am so far behind on all the shows I usually watch — except for Walking Dead, which we kept up with mainly because it’s hard to avoid spoilers if you don’t!
Reading // I’m 30% into “Overwhelmed: Work, Love and Play When No One Has The Time” by Brigid Schulte. I chose this book for Kathleen’s postal book club and mailed off my copy a few weeks ago to start making the rounds, but I wanted to read it myself so I bought it on Kindle too. I’m enjoying it so far — and doing a lot of violent head-nodding in agreement.
Wanting // An unlimited fabric budget. Seriously, there are so many pretty fabrics to buy and cool things to make. Related, as long as I’m dreaming: I want an unlimited amount of free time.
Thinking // About Christmas gifts for my family. As usual, I’m getting a late start but I’ve got ideas for (almost) everyone.
Creating // I finished my scarf last night, and tonight I’m going to finish binding my wildwood quilt! (I’ll post photos later this week — I totally love how it turned out.)
Hoping // For continued pain-free running. I did 3+ miles on the treadmill last night without issue so my hip seems to be hanging in there.
Needing // New tires on the Highlander. We just hit 30,000 miles on the original tires that were on the car when we bought it, and Jose noticed while we were in Corpus Christi that they are looking pretty threadbare. Not exactly the most fun thing to spend money on during the holidays, but necessary.
Anticipating // Christmas vacation! We both saved enough vacation time to take two full weeks off work, and we’re definitely counting down the remaining work days over here…
