So I mentioned that I came home from Charlotte sick — stuffed head and body aches. It seems like the same crud I had when we got back from Jamaica in June, and the idea that I’m going to start getting sick when we travel is…not thrilling. It is also not good for my running. I’ve heard that as long as the congestion is just in your head, it’s ok to run, but who wants to do that? When I’m sick, the last thing I feel like doing is anything that will make me work even HARDER to breathe.
I was back to normal by the end of the week, so I went for a nice long run on Friday morning. I’m behind pace for getting my 50 miles this month, but with 6 days left and 12.4 miles to go, it’s at least doable. Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday if I need it.
