Last Saturday was a super full day in our household! After Emma’s first race in the morning, we joined our friends Cindy and Jake for some fall fun at Froberg’s Farm over in Alvin later that afternoon.
Froberg’s is the same place we went strawberry picking back in February. (Oh man, look at how much Emma has changed in the 8 months since our strawberry outing!)
We wandered around the corn maze for a bit, but Emma rather quickly lost interest so we headed back to the pumpkin patch.
Fair warning that this will not be the only photo dump of fall festival photos, since we already have another outing (to a different farm) planned with a few of Emma’s school friends next week!
For the price of a few tokens (which were included in our admission, you got a plastic cup and a small pair of scissors and free reign to pick flowers! Emma gravitated towards the buds instead of the blooms themselves — I guess she just thought they were more interesting.
There was face painting too, along with plenty of games to play. The duck race was a really clever idea I’d never seen before — and a HUGE hit with Emma. She loved running to get her duck and then returning him to the start to float down the track again. You can check it out in action in the video below:

She also enjoyed the bean bag toss, and if you watch the video below you’ll see why I saw she deserves an A+ for persistence and effort!

It was a really fun afternoon, and I can’t wait till February when we get to go back for strawberries!
