We spent the last several days visiting my family in Charlotte and Chapel Hill. Emma slept on a trundle bed at my parents’ house — and did so well that when we got home yesterday afternoon, we decided to convert Emma’s crib to a toddler bed!
She was pretty excited about her “big girl bed” and immediately started hopping in and out. At bedtime, she went right to sleep as usual and this morning when I went in to get her up, she was just lying there happily. (Which is exactly what she did in Charlotte too.)
Wow. This seems like it should be such a big milestone, and yet we just decided to do it in a snap…and she took to it like a champ. My little girl is getting bigger every day!
Maybe its just a coincidence of timing, but basically everyone I know who posted a picture of their toddler in a “big kid bed” follows up the post in about a month with a ultrasound picture of their next kid… (Aren’t I good at lack-of-tact posts?)
