Portable toddler cot. I mentioned this in my traveling with a toddler post, but it’s worth including here because it was so helpful for us earlier this month!
Pumpkin spice everything. You know about pumpkin spice lattes, of course. But did you know there are pumpkin spice english muffins?? They are so good.
Machine binding tutorial from Red Pepper Quilts. Binding continues to be my quilting nemesis. For the quilt I finished earlier this week (which I’ll post about next week), I tried the technique detailed here which is slightly different than what I’ve done in the past in that you stitch-in-the-ditch on the front, which (should) ensure that the needle catches the binding on the back. It still didn’t turn out perfectly for me, but I can see a lot of promise and am going to keep trying this technique for the near future to see if I can perfect it.
Sarah R Bagley podcast. I figured I’d throw in another recommendation since my love affair with podcasts continues. This one is subtitled “A Recovering Perfectionist’s Guide to a B+ Life” and she talks with a lot of interesting women about a wide range of topics.
Mary Poppins costume (1, 2). I’ve been toying with a lot of ideas for Emma’s Halloween costume when I suddenly thought of Mary Poppins. It’s the only movie she’s seen (in bits and pieces) and she loves it. I found these two examples on Pinterest and OMG I neeeeeed to figure out how to make this happen.
Hi Sarah! Thanks for including me! Glad you like the show!
