If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably noticed that I’ve been stitching a lot lately! In addition to continuing work on my Once Upon a Time Sampler, I also started work on a 4-installment Halloween Town Sampler.
The Once Upon a Time May block featured Jack and the Beanstalk. I took the photo above and posted it online, and someone pointed out that I’d forgotten Jack’s mouth! Oops! I fixed that promptly enough.
I did most of the June block while in Jamaica and it turned out really cute. I think The Princess and the Pea may be my favorite block yet!
Fun side note: I finished this block on the airplane on the way home from Jamaica, and an older woman across the aisle asked me if she could see it before I put it away. I handed it to her and she looked at it for a long time before handing it back and telling me it was beautiful. It made me happy to have a fellow cross stitcher around!
Here’s a look at my progress on the Halloween Town piece so far. I really like the colors in this one! I finished filling in the fence since I took this photo, so all that remains for this first part is a tree on the right side (the brown bit is the beginning of a branch) and a white moon in the sky.
