Some cool things for this month…
Aqueduck Faucet Extender. This is one of those things I didn’t know I needed until it arrived in our monthly Citrus Lane box and we tried it out on the sink in Emma’s bathroom. It attaches to the faucet and extends the water’s reach by a few inches — which is just enough that Emma can now reach the water while standing on her stool, and Jose and I don’t have to lift her anymore. Brilliant. (I’m pretty sure you could DIY one of these as well from a rubber band and a piece of plastic.)
Zig Zag Wire Basket. I spotted this at Target last week and bought it immediately. I’d been looking for some sort of basket to corral all of Emma’s stuffed animals and this works perfectly. It’s nice and roomy (18 inches tall) and looks stylish to boot.
Edamame salad. I bought a pint of this at The Fresh Market a couple weeks ago since I love edamame, and it was delicious. I found a (super easy) recipe for it that I plan to try soon.
Free Motion Quilting by Angela Walters. I keep talking about trying free motion quilting but have been too intimidated to really give it a go. I heard good things about this book and ordered it for myself, and so far I’m really liking it! AND I feel like I might be able to get the hang of free motion after all…
Kona cotton. Although it’s not apparent from my Pointy quilt, I’m in a bit of a solid fabric phase right now. You can order Kona cotton from a number of different shops (I get a lot of mine from Fabric.com) and in a few hundred different colors. It’s way better quality than the solids at Joann. I love it.
