Summary
Since Lunar Rendezvous Run will be hot, I was worried about the thought of doing C25K entirely on our treadmill. But now that it’s staying light later, I have the option of running outside in the evening right after Emma goes to bed! I can also do loops that keep me close to home since the developers recently put in a few new roads as they begin a new section of our subdivision. I was never able to run a true loop before, but now I can!
I’m waiting for a new Fitbit to arrive after mine partially died last weekend — it wouldn’t charge past ~10% despite me trying all the troubleshooting steps. I emailed their customer support for help since the thing is barely a year old, and they offered to replace it for me! Good customer service! Woo!
On a related note, earlier this week I discovered that MyFitnessPal, MapMyRun and Fitbit can all sync together so that I don’t have to go back and forth between them. On top of that, MyFitnessPal will adjust my daily calorie goal based on how active the Fitbit shows that I’ve been. It seems to be working well enough, although sometimes MapMyRun ends up showing each run twice for some reason. Someone needs to design a single app that does all of these things, but in the mean time, it’s pretty cool that they sync together.
Week 2 down and I’m loving it!
