Some cool things for this month…
Tune Belt armband. I’ve always run with an iPod shuffle and GPS watch in the past, but C25K is a lot easier if I have my phone running an interval app. I bought this armband a couple weeks ago after reading good reviews — and seeing that it would fit my phone WITH case. I’ve used it for 5 or 6 runs now and it’s great! Fits my phone snugly and doesn’t budge once I’ve tightened the band on my arm.
Lone Star quilt by Quilts of a Feather. I came across this quilt yesterday via the Sew Mama Sew My Favorite Quilt series and my jaw dropped. I love the star, and that quilting is AMAZING. I have such an urge to finally give free motion quilting a try, although I’m not sure I’d ever be able to create something this awesome.
Kid’s Crocs. Here’s the thing — Emma has weirdly thick feet or something, and it’s hard to find shoes. We needed some sort of closed-toe sandal or water shoe she could use at the pool or on splash day at school, so I finally threw my hands in the air and ordered 4 different pairs of shoes from Zappos (hooray free returns!) in hopes that at least one of them would fit. The winner? Lime green Crocs. They are actually pretty adorable.
Champion Absolute bike short. This is my favorite type of short to run in these days, but all but one pair of my shorts are technically tri shorts, so they have a thin chamois liner. If I’m not riding a bike, that’s really overkill so I decided to try these cheap (only $16!) workout shorts I found on Amazon. (Although they call them bike shorts, they don’t have a chamois.) I’ve only worn them once, but they were super comfy.

I want to see the bike shorts when I come. I am looking for some that aren’t so tight.
