I’m doing 30 Days of Creativity this month for the third year in a row, even though it doesn’t seem to be an “official Internet thing” this year. Here are Week 1 and Week 2 if you missed them.
June 17 – I finished up the alterations to Emma’s smocked bee dress. I am really not very good at alterations, but they’ll do!
June 18 & 19 – I’m trying out another quilt design I came up with. After messing around with the shapes digitally for a while, I realized that it’s actually a spin on a traditional log cabin block — which I’ve seen dozens of times but never actually tried myself. It was fun! And my pattern idea worked well!
June 20 – Ah, Flex Fridays are so awesome! I had to go in to work for an hour-long meeting, but I spent the rest of the day stitching and sewing and piecing together a pattern I bought digitally for a dress I plan to make.
June 21 & 22 – Even though I’m not done with the June block of my Once Upon a Time sampler, I couldn’t resist starting on the Mysterious Halloween Town club clue. It comes in four parts and I’ll be done by Halloween!
June 23 – I made a couple more log cabin halves.
One more week!
