Have you heard of Reasons My Son Is Crying? It’s a hilarious blog and now that I have a toddler, it’s even funnier. And while overall Emma is generally a happy kid, today I present to you a few reasons Emma has been crying lately:
- Because we wouldn’t let her play on the iPad the second we walked in the door.
- Because it took me a whole 30 seconds to pour her milk.
- Because I had the audacity to say “NO” when she dumped her entire dinner on the floor.
- Because I took her outside the restaurant while Jose stayed behind to pay.
- Because her daycare teacher took off her shoes while changing her diaper.
- Because she had to take off her hard hat to take a bath.
That last one, about the fake plastic hard hat? She completely LOST HER MIND on Friday night when Jose took it off, and she continued to scream during her entire bath, while I put her pajamas on, and while we brushed her teeth. (The screaming actually made the teeth brushing easier.)
She finally regained her wits while we read books before bed. Needless to say, the hat has now “mysteriously disappeared.”
I am always asking Jon, is this normal? When isla totally loses it for no good reason. It is reassuring to read this, especially about the bath and hat. We have totally lived that.
Drake loves that yellow hard hat. I think because he loves the LEGO movie, and when we comb his hair just right he looks like a blond Emmet.
