Let it officially be known that Houston has days with PERFECT weather! Those days just happen to sometimes fall in January. Hey, you have to take what you can get.
Yesterday was one such perfect weather day — and it was a federal holiday, so both Jose and I were off work! To celebrate, we took a family walk to the playground in the subdivision next to ours. My mom and I had taken Emma here a few weeks ago, and found that she was pretty wary of the slide. But yesterday she loved it! I think she went down it at least 25 times.
Swings are a regular favorite activity, so of course we did some of that too.

As opposed to previous trips to the playground where she hasn’t liked touching the mulch, this time Emma decided it was fun to pick up and throw around. Let’s just say there were quite a few handfuls of mulch that got moved from one side of this crawl-through to the other.

p.s. I’m glad I thought to grab my camera as we headed out the door. I got a few great photos! I really need to do this more often so Emma’s entire childhood doesn’t consist of iPhone snapshots.
So jealous of the awesome weather! Hope Kay and Emma can have a play date when we visit in March!
