Summary
Last week’s virus has been stubbornly hanging around, and nowhere was that more apparent than when I tried to run this week. On Tuesday I hopped on the treadmill but only made it 20 minutes at glacial pace before downgrading to a walk for the rest of the program time. I figured I’d give it a few days and try again.
On Friday I headed out for a run around 8:30 am. It was warm and humid but not awful, and i decided to take it super easy with a 3/1 run/walk. Still, after only a mile or so, my heart was racing even over a mere 3 minutes at 13:00 pace. By the 2 mile mark, I felt completely gassed, so I threw in the towel again and walked home.
Tonight I’m going to try another treadmill run, so I optimistically recorded that above. Hopefully it goes better than everything else this week!
Edit: Ran on the treadmill and it went well! Feeling back to normal at last…
