Summary
So…this week was not so good. This turned out to be a very busy week with commitments after work on several evenings and trying to put together the program for the upcoming Miss Bay Area pageant. And obviously I still haven’t figured out how to fit in workouts when that happens. In these situations, I always feel like I have to choose between working out and sleep — and when it’s already 10:30 or 11:00 at night, the idea of hopping on the treadmill for a run never sounds good.
At least I was able to take advantage of the weekend. Yesterday I joined Erin and Lisa for a bike ride in the morning and then took a walk with Jose and Emma in the evening. This morning I had planned to take Emma along for a run outside but when I woke up, we were in the middle of a big thunderstorm. The rain continued on and off all morning, and we’re going to the Astros game this afternoon, so I’ll have to hit the treadmill tonight after she goes to bed. The goal is 3 miles.

Yesterday I weighed 189.0 and was happy that while I didn’t lose, I also didn’t gain this week. But this morning I got up and was 1.4 lbs heavier. I’m not super worried because I know weight fluctuates a lot on a day-to-day basis and it’s the overall trend that matters, but it still bums me out that I have to put 190.4 instead of the 189.0 it was yesterday! Oh well. Gotta plan to do better this week!
