Book club was last night, and it also happened to be Cari’s birthday, so I decided to make this cake that Bakerella posted last month. “Just a cake,” as she called it. A little ol’ chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream. Oh, and a good helping of chocolate ganache.
OMG.
I don’t make cakes often, but this is seriously the best cake I have ever made. And among the best I have ever eaten.
I woke up with a pounding headache this morning that could have been the result of overdosing on sugar last night, but if so, it was worth it.
SO good.
