It was airshow weekend in Clear Lake so Jose and I headed over to Ellington yesterday for a few hours. It was a warm day and we had a few other things to do, so we planned a little differently this year — we showed up early so that we could see the warbirds, and then left about halfway through the “aerial history of all wars ever” part that fills the middle of the program every year. The only downside to this plan is that we missed the Snowbirds, which did make me a little sad. There’s a part of me that actually prefers them to the Thunderbirds and Blue Angels!
I’ve been messing around with different photo-displaying options lately as I plan on finally making my own personalized WordPress template, so today I’m going to try the “gallery” feature. I didn’t end up with many great flying shots this year but I took a lot of detail photos. Here are the best shots from Wings Over Houston this year:
