It’s funny how my “old age” has finally made me sensitive to what I post online. There’s a lot rolling around in my head at the moment, but none of it is really fodder for the ol’ blog. So on to the lighter topics: the weather is lovely! Jose and I have enjoyed nice walks through the neighborhood the past two evenings. I’ve put out all our Halloween decorations which make me irrationally happy. Perhaps I’ll take some photos to share.
Other than that, it’s been one of those weeks. One of those weeks where my “at work” times involve 7s…and 6s…for multiple days in a row.
The bad news is that I’m totally dragging. Yep, I’m tired. I’ve come to the conclusion over the years that while I can be a morning person if necessary (example: all the races that I do), I don’t think very well first thing in the morning. I support the meetings and participate where I need to, but then I have a tendency to zone out for the rest of the morning doing mindless tasks. It’s not until after lunch that I actually start getting stuff done with any efficiency. So even when I get in early, I end up staying late — all because I’m apparently incapable of really getting on a roll until mid-afternoon.
Still, the good news is that I’m making headway on a couple things that were frustrating me, and getting a lot done — and the extra hours mean that I think I’ll be able to take Friday off.
Hello four-day weekend!
