We’ve had 33 days with highs above 100 degrees in 2011, including the last 23 days in a row. To say that I’m eager for fall would be a vast understatement. I can’t change the weather, but I can at least make it feel like fall around dinnertime. Last night I made a very simple butternut squash soup, which I’d been meaning to try for quite a while. I’ve made that recipe several times. Tasty & easy! I like reduce the stock to make it thicker / less liquidy sometimes. I have to say, I really can’t imagine making it in 100 degree heat!
We have excellent air conditioning. 😉
