Mom texted me this photo last weekend. The cherry trees are blooming in Charlotte, which always happens right around my birthday and makes her think of me. Aw.
Things are looking decidedly spring-like here in Houston as well. Our azaleas are looking lovely…if only the rest of the yard would catch up! In a fit of spring cleaning inspiration, here is my to-do list from the past 3 weekends:
- Install the remaining cabinet hardware.
- Buy mulch.
- Weed and mulch the flower beds.
- Prune the crape myrtle.
- Fertilize the lawn.
- lean out the master closet.
- Take all the glass to the recycling center.
- Drop off some stuff at Goodwill.
- Finish organizing the study.
- Schedule a time to get the headliner in my car replaced.
- Wipe down the front door. (It’s crazy dirty.)
Here is what I’ve actually accomplished:
- Installed the cabinet door hardware. Still need to finish the drawers.
- Pruned the crape myrtle.
- Read a lot.
- Slept a lot.
- Watched TV a lot.
- Surfed the internet a lot.
So…pretty productive month, right?
