Last night Becca invited everyone over for an impromptu pre-Thanksgiving Thanksgiving meal. This was motivated solely because Byron bought a 20-pound turkey — “it was like 15 cents a pound!” — and let it thaw. Thus it had to be cooked, and we all benefited from it!
Nobody can turn down a Thanksgiving meal, so Becca ended up with quite the crowd — 11 adults, 2 little kids, and 2 babies. (Side note: Jen & Gavin’s twins seem much older now that they are both crawling around like madmen. Can’t believe they will be 1 next month!) I made some of these pumpkin pie bars for dessert. They were very tasty — just like pumpkin pie, but with the texture of cake.
Anybody else want to have another Thanksgiving warmup meal? I’m in!
