Thanksgiving this year was at Jose’s aunt Lupe’s house. There was fun and frivolity and food — SO MUCH FOOD. There was also a turkey hat. No one seemed to know where it came from, but there it was. With my affection for crazy headgear, I of course wanted to try it on. Then I made Jose try it on.
Then I told Jose’s 8-year-old cousin Megan to try it on and off-handedly said “yeah, we’re going to take a picture of everyone wearing the turkey hat!” Little did I know that Megan would take this project very seriously. She occasionally ran off with my iPhone and by the end of the night, I had more than 20 photos of people in turkey headgear. And they made me laugh SO HARD.
Somebody was wearing that hat for the Turkey Trot! It is adorable that she ran around taking pictures of everyone wearing the hat.
