Life these days seems to consist of busy weeks punctuated by even busier weekends. We saw Zombieland on Friday night (after I took a 2 hour nap), and it was hilarious. I don’t like scary movies but I decided to chance this one since the previews make it look like a funny zombie movie. Fortunately, it was.
On Saturday we headed up to the Museum of Natural Science to see the 2000+ year old terra cotta warriors and followed that up with a birthday dinner for John. He turned 26, which is slightly odd when I realize that even my “little” brother and sister are older than him. I have some young friends!
On Sunday I spent the morning baking and the afternoon eating what I baked (and more) at Jen and Gavin’s baby shower. I’d been wanting to try making the cupcake bites from Bakerella for some time, and finally had a good excuse. They didn’t turn out quite as well as I’d hoped, but only in appearance — they still tasted delicious!
And finally: Houston weather is stupid. But you knew that.
