Randomly, the Chronicle had a story today about bats living under a bridge here in town, just after I presented my 4th project in graphic design class last night — two pages of a children’s book I made up about Bernard the Bat! Here are my two pages:
I’m not entirely satisfied with them — just feel like something is missing — but I guess they are decent.
Gavin says
Hmm. They need to be pop-up bats!
Becca says
Oooh, popup bats! Actually, I think the illustration and layouts are awesome. Nice touch with the little bat page numbers. The writing, though, is a little too grown-up.
Me says
If the writing is the problem, I can live with that! After all, it’s a graphic design class. 🙂
Holden says
What? NO mention of their cool sonar system? If I was a kid I would like to know how Bernie does not crash into things at night. the illustrations are top notch though!
Jen says
Yeah, the graphics are great.
Another Jen says
I agree with my fellow Jen – those graphics are great!!
Yet Another Jen says
Yes, very cool graphics Sarah! I agree with Becca on the writing, though. Also from a somewhat graphical perspective, the text may be a bit too small for a children’s book.
