The other note from this weekend is that the Astros swept the Brewers! Woo! We went to the game on Friday night and saw Jeff Bagwell single in the winning run — after months of surgery, rehab, and not playing, that had to feel good for him.
Now, with apologies to those Pittsburgh fans, here’s hoping the Astros can grab 3-4 more wins from the Pirates this week!

I was going to go to that game but was struggling with dropping the cash so close to payday. After hearing about Bagwell’s RBI in the 9th, I wish I had gone. C’mon guys.
i think i’m the lone pittsburgh fan to read your blog, and honestly, at this point the pirates are such a sorry bunch of ballplayers you houstonians can have your way with them. we’re onto the steelers and the penguins by now.
