Ok, as Nancy alluded to in the comments of the previous entry, I just loaded my blog and got a pop up ad. Not for poker, but for some other crap. Not in a separate window, but right there in the same window covering up my blog.

I must check into it. If anyone else is seeing this, let me know. Also, if anyone else knows what might be causing it, let me know.

Yeah, I’m getting it. I’d try removing external references (flckr, webstats, haloscan, whatever) and then adding them back one at a time. Course, it could be Dreamhost inserting them in, but that’s kinda random.
I’m wondering if it has anything to do with Dreamhost, since all the servers went down earlier this week. I’ve never had any complaints before the past 2 days.

I saw a poker pop up once yesterday. I went looking to show you, but you were gone. I’ve only seen it once in over ten or so visits in the last few days.

Friday 11 A; PDT, a pop up ad for WinFixer. And I am on a Mac!
You know, I’ve gotten TONS of popups for WinFixer lately, both here and at home. They are taking over the internet!

No popups here – though I also have the google toolbar.
Yes, I get an ad for winfixer. However, if you use FireFox, its a non issue. I notice it is only affecting Explorer. I don’t know how to get rid of it.
The Google toolbar doesn’t block it, apparently — because I *have* the Google toolbar and still saw it. Hmm. Becca, are you getting the WinFixer thing on more sites than just mine?
I don’t know. I swear I got it at home once after all my IE windows were closed!

i’m using firefox on win2k and i haven’t seen any popups, but then this browser blocks almost everything.

I still get a WinFixer window each time I am on your site and I am using Netscape. I have activated a pop up block and hopefully that will fix it. But not I can’t upload images to blogger without disabling the block. What a pain
