Last night I realized that I’m about to start another two-month stretch rather like the one I had back in April and May, when I was out of town or booked solid almost every weekend.
- This weekend I’m headed over to Austin, going Saturday and coming back Sunday, to see Leila and Brian and go to their wine and cheese party.
- Then Kent will be here (yay!), which is also the same weekend Gavin and I are doing the Houston Urban Adventure Race.
- Then I’m here one weekend with nothing major planned…yet.
- Then two weekends in California, the first in San Francisco and the second in Yosemite, with the AIAA conference in San Francisco occupying the week in between.
- Then in Houston, but busy crewing a hot air balloon as part of the Ballunar Festival.
- Then the nebulous camping/hiking trip to Seattle that I am supposed to be planning but haven’t done anything for yet, and that most people are still unsure about whether they can go. Even if everyone else can’t make it, I am planning to go, so I should start planning and coordinating with Jen.
By then it’ll be mid-September. Whew.
Cassie says
oooh what is the Houston Urban Adventure Race??
Jen says
Yay for the nebulous camping trip.:) Even if you were the only one to come, we could still do some really cool camping & trekking.

The Urban Adventure Race is a 2-person race that starts at Minute Maid Park. It’s on July 30: http://www.terrafirmapromo.com/urbandirections.htm
