Movers are supposed to come today and take Becca’s things down the hall to her new desk, so she spent yesterday packing. When I left at 4:30, it didn’t look like she was anywhere near being done, and I predicted she’d be there until 7 or 8 to get everything finished. Imagine my surprise, then, when we all met for dinner at 7:30 and she announced that she’d finished packing and left work at 5:00. I was all ready to take it back, and give her credit for finishing up so fast.
Silly me! I forgot that Becca’s definition of “packed” is not the same as a normal person’s.
I walked in this morning to see the top of her desk strewn with papers and binders, an open binder on my desk about stuff I don’t know, a few post-its still stuck to her desk and monitor, four posters still on the walls, a globe beach ball still inflated and on top of her bookshelf, a bunch of rolled up posters still on her shelf, a couple Smarties wrappers between her keyboard and monitor, and dust everywhere.
Yeah. She was packed at 5:00 yesterday. Suuuuuuuure.
She’s not even here this morning for me to tease her about this. It’s really a shame.

1. The binders open on MY desk are needed for my sim this afternoon, I intend to move them myself because I didn’t want them in a box because I need to use them immediately.
2. I don’t know what binder on your desk? Hm. That’s weird. Maybe I did miss something there. What is it?
3. Post it notes, wrappers, etc. I was just going to throw out when everything was cleared off my desk (easier that way)
4. Posters. At least half those posters were there when I moved in (or I took them off the walls and rolled them up). The other half were posters we both collected at WSW and they all somehow ended up on the bottom of my bookshelf. I intend on leaving them behind. Same with the empty binders on the bookshelf — they were reminents of Rich, I don’t have an obligation to pack and move them.
5. Yes, I figured I could LUG the heavy beach ball to my new desk rather than deflating it and reinflating it.
6. The beach ball I decided (lazy self that I am) to move it myself rather than deflating it and reinflating it.
And this is like the pot calling the kettle black miss-I-store-stuff in piles. I’d like to see you do better if you ever had to pack of your stacks of stuff on your desk!!!!

Oh, and I didn’t leave work at 5, I left work at 7. The interim time I spent trying to “figure out” rendezvous (obviously a longer than 2 hour task).
How’s that for defensive!!!??? 🙂

I could have my piles in boxes and nothing left on my desk within an hour. Nyah. 😉
