First, a wrap-up of my goals from fall. I got everything done except one, which got put aside in favor of releasing my Shake & Bake pattern. Not bad at all!
- Enjoy Quilt Market and Quilt Festival! Done!
- Finish my Halloween quilt. Done!
- Baby quilt for our next door neighbor. Done!
- Kushukuru fabric secret sewing. Done!
- Make a quilt for the MQG fabric challenge. Done!
- Finish Rainbow Triangles BOM. Nope.
- Finish (or nearly finish) the Gulf Coast MQG charity quilt. Done!
- Also done:
- Made a cute bag.
- Made a Christmas quilt.
- Made 4 simple elastic waist skirts.
- Designed and released a new pattern.
- Wrote two other patterns.
- Did some tech editing and graphics work.
Here’s what I’m planning for January-March, keeping my guiding thoughts in mind as I go…
- Get Beauty Burst and Mini Maze ready and shipped to QuiltCon. They need hanging sleeves and labels, both of which are on my agenda for this week.
- Mini quilt testing. I’m testing an upcoming mini quilt pattern for another designer friend, and need to have this done by the end of January.
- Make a mini for the MQG swap. I’ll be exchanging in person at QuiltCon for the third year in a row! I haven’t started this yet but have a few ideas.
- Have a blast at QuiltCon in February. Super excited! I’m taking two classes and am looking forward to seeing lots of quilts and friends.
- Finish one UFO. Probably my Rainbow Triangles BOM so Charlotte can finally have it on her bed!
- Get started on a STEM-inspired quilt. The International Quilt Festival has a call for entries for “The Math and Science of Quilts” for the fall 2020 show. I really want to enter something in this category and have several ideas already. The deadline isn’t listed yet, but I expect it to be in April or May.
2020! Let’s go!
