It’s day 60 of this year’s 100 day project! This year I’m doing #100daysofsaroystitches and have been working my way down a list of ~10 different projects that I wanted to either make significant progress on or completely finish before the 100th day arrives in mid-July.
Previous project updates: Days 1-20, Days 21-40
Here’s what I’ve been working on in the last few weeks:
Planning quilting for my Trinket quilt. I’ve settled on a diamond design taken from the excellent “Walk” by Jacquie Gehring. This will be the most ambitious quilting I’ve attempted — because it’s not just straight or wavy lines! But I’m looking forward to the challenge.
Library quilt. This is the “surprise” quilt I mentioned in my last update but since the cat’s out of the bag — it was a birthday present for Jose — I can call it the library quilt now. I finished the top the day before his birthday, and have since gotten it basted and quilted. Just needs binding!
Memory quilts. At my last update 3 weeks ago, I had finished one of the two (identical) quilt tops. Since then, I finished the second top, and got them both basted, quilted, bound, and delivered to my friend! I’m really happy with the way these two quilts turned out and I think she is too.
The memory quilts were my first official finishes in my 100 Day project, but there will hopefully be several more in the remaining 40 days…
