In 2015, I finished 3 quilts, 1 quilt top, 3 mini quilts, and 2 quilted pillows. I started on a mini quilt. I made a purse and 2 yoga bags. I made 2 pajama eaters. I published 5 free quilt patterns. Not too bad, especially for a year in which the last third was full of newborn baby!
Some highlights:
Favorite: I like ALL of my quilts, so this is really hard, but I have to go with the Mini Rebel I made in May. I love every single thing about this one — the pattern, the colors, the quilting, the overall effect. I made this for a swap and was so sad to have to mail it away rather than hang it on my own wall.
Most Delayed: My niece’s Star Bright quilt that I started in August…and finished in November. (But I made it while simultaneously having a newborn so WIN.)
Most Technically Difficult: Definitely the purse that I made back in January for an Instagram swap. Bags are SO much harder than quilts! I had one hiccup with some topstitching on this one, but otherwise I was very pleased with how it turned out.
Most Patriotic: Why yes, that’s a category…and the winner is the modern flag quilt I pattern tested in May. I really like the colors in this one — a twist on straight up red, white and blue but still easily recognizable. I only made the top, which is still sitting on a shelf waiting to be finished as an actual quilt.
Most Colorful: This is actually a toss up between my Rising Balloons quilt and my Oodalolly quilt. Both times, I had a lot of fun playing around with the different fabrics and pairing them somewhat at random.
I’m looking forward to another fun year of sewing in 2016!

My two favorites are the mini rebel and the oodalolly! They are all beautiful, though. You did a great job in 2015. :]

I do not quilt, and I am pretty much terrible at all crafts, but I really enjoy when you recap the things you’ve quilted (monthly and this annual round-up!). Really lovely work.
