I just wrapped up the rising balloons quilt and haven’t started the next one, so the only thing really in progress right now is La Passacaglia. I finished my first rosette, pressed it, and removed the papers from all but the outside ring of pieces. It looks so good now that it’s neatly pressed!
I’ve also started on my second rosette, which will be bigger — much bigger than the first.
The ring of pentagons still needs to be attached to the center, but while I was sewing it, this happened:
(I’m just going to hope I’m not the only one to have ever done that.)
I took my pieces to Corpus Christi over the weekend, but there wasn’t really any time to sew. I did, however, successfully glue baste 10 small pentagons and ~25 star points in the car while Jose drove — with the help of the flat surface of one of Emma’s books!
