Another year, another trip to the rodeo! It’s definitely one of my favorite Houston events of the entire year. Two of the three rodeo weekends were already spoken for, and last weekend was pretty full with my quilting class and our trip to Cirque du Soleil — so we ended up going on a Friday. I thought this would be awesome with a lack of crowds, but we didn’t anticipate all the school groups that were apparently enjoying field trips the same day. It was actually less crowded last year when we went on a Saturday.
We met my friend Cindy and Emma’s buddy Jake there and had fun checking out the livestock show, eating BBQ for lunch, and taking a few rides at the carnival. Photo dump to follow…
Emma and Jake wanted to hold hands. Oh man, the cuteness. (Emma is 9 months older and 90+ percentile for height, while Jake is ~50% for height. It’s kind of hilarious how much taller Emma is.)
Emma went on her first (non-carousel) carnival ride! She loved it.
We rode the carousel and the ferris wheel — two times each!
Can’t wait for next year!
