Two continuations from January…
Finish 2014 family yearbook. I’m going to try to give this a solid effort…and if I don’t finish it this month, I’m going to let it go and accept that it’s not my thing.
Finish the clothing purge. I got rid of excess jewelry and dresser clothes last month; this month it’s time to tackle the biggie — my closet. (Cue ominous music here.)
And three new ones…
Try a yoga class or video. Wayyy back in 2002 when I was in grad school, I took a yoga class and loved it. Then I graduated, moved to Houston…and basically never did yoga again. I’d like to give it another shot.
Minimal phone time between getting home and Emma’s bedtime. I’d like to do a better job of ditching my phone during the week for the couple hours between getting home and Emma going to bed for the night. I feel like saying “no phone” would be a recipe for immediate failure, so I’m going to focus on minimizing it. Baby steps. The biggest thing I can do, I think, would be to just leave it in my purse instead of on the kitchen counter.
Make things! This is less of a goal and more of a list of projects I want to focus on for the next month. Having said that, I will: continue working on the two baby quilts I have in work and hopefully finish at least one of them, start my Technicolor Galaxy quilt (the block-of-the-month project), and work on my La Passacaglia quilt. Maybe I’ll even finish my first rosette!

I’ve been trying to clean out my closet, too. It’s really hard given that my weight has varied by 40 pounds over the last three years. I have so many clothes in different sizes and maternity clothes.

I have the same issues. Also throw in pants that have somehow become too short, shirts that never really looked good on me in the first place, etc, etc. I almost wish I could start all over but that’s not really financially viable!
