November goals coming soon. Until then, here’s how I did with my October goals.
This month was great! I did everything I wanted to, plus a lot more.
Continue work on my Master’s project. Whew. I am MAKING PROGRESS with a capital P. For real, y’all. I have one piece nearly finished and a second in the sketching phase. When the first one is in final draft form, I’ll post it here for feedback.
Make this month’s Lucky Stars Block of the Month. Done! And despite how complicated it looks, it actually took less time than I’d anticipated — probably around 3 hours in all for cutting, piecing, pressing, etc. Each of the 8 triangle sections had 9 pieces, so that’s a whopping 72 pieces of fabric sewn together to make this one block. Whew! But there’s something about the paper piecing process that really appeals to me, and the end results are so satisfying. My success with this one definitely has me excited to do the November block and start catching up on the ones from previous months.
Make a Halloween costume for Emma. Despite several ridiculous fits and starts trying to make one simple little dress…it’s done! And you better believe I’ll be posting photos tomorrow.
Read 1 book. Done!
Clear the baby clutter off the counter. Done!
