I’ve only got 5 this month instead of 6. Nothing like a lighter load, right?
Design and order sewing labels. A couple years ago for Christmas, my aunt gave me some sew-in labels with my name on them to sew onto all the things I make. I had no idea you could order something like that, and they are so cool! Then several months later I came across this old post from MADE about the cool labels Dana designed for her stuff — completely customized with her own design! Ever since then, I’ve wanted to come up with some sort of neat logo or monogram I can use for my stuff, and put it on a label.
Make a photobook of Emma’s first year. We already have two great photobooks — one that Jose made me for Mother’s Day and one I made him for Father’s Day. I want to make one book that has her weekly and monthly photos, and a second book that is basically a “best of” everything else. I may just combine those two to make life easier; we’ll see.
Be in bed by 11:00. No, SERIOUSLY. I tried this back in April with a goal of 10:30, and only made it about 30% of the time. But over the last month, I’m not getting in bed until 11:30-12:00 on many nights, which means I’m averaging between 6-6.5 hours of sleep each night. And while I desperately wish I were one of those people who could survive on that…I’m not. I’m exhausted ALL. THE. TIME.
Complete 2 M.A. book layouts. ‘Nuff said.
Make myself a skirt. High on my top-making success, I bought a book that shows you how to make several different skirts based on a single A-line pattern. Several of my skirts still don’t quite fit me after pregnancy, so it’d be cool to make one that’s comfortable.
[…] I’ll post about my September goals next week. In the meantime, here’s how I did with my August goals. […]
