I’m running or walking at least a mile each day through Easter. Here’s how I’m doing:
Mar 10 – 2 mile treadmill walk
Mar 11 – 1 mile treadmill walk
Mar 12 – 1 mile treadmill walk
Mar 13 – 1 mile treadmill walk
Mar 14 – 2 mile walk outside with Jose and Emma
Mar 15 – 1 mile treadmill walk
Mar 16 – 1 mile treadmill walk
Ugh. The beginning of the week was ROUGH. Things piled up on Sunday and I never got out the door for a run…not that I was trying particularly hard since I didn’t feel great, but I did manage a brisk 2-mile walk on the treadmill after Emma went to bed. But then Monday morning I woke up feeling even worse and ended up staying home sick. I slept till noon, took another hour nap later in the afternoon, and didn’t eat anything but a bowl of cereal until dinner time. If there was ever a day thus far where I didn’t feel like getting on the treadmill, Monday was it. But I forced myself to do a mile in the interest of keeping my mini “streak” going.
Tuesday and Wednesday were the same story. I felt a bit better, but my stomach was still not right and I didn’t want to anger my GI system any more than necessary. On Thursday I finally felt better and we enjoyed a family walk outside in the lovely weather we’ve been having. Jose’s family arrived on yesterday to stay for the weekend, so it was back to quick treadmill walks last night and today.
Tomorrow, however, is the Seabrook Lucky Trails Marathon Relay! I’ll be running either the first or second 6.5-mile leg for my team…and when I say “running” I really mean “run/walking.” I figure it’ll take me a slooow ~1:20 to finish my leg, but I’m still looking forward to a fun morning.
