I’m running or walking at least a mile each day through Easter. Here’s how I’m doing:
Mar 3 – 2.5 mile treadmill run
Mar 4 – 1.3 mile treadmill walk
Mar 5 – 3.1 mile run/walk outside
Mar 6 – 1.3 mile treadmill walk
Mar 7 – 1 mile treadmill walk
Mar 8 – 2.1 mile treadmill walk
Mar 9 – 2 mile walk outside with Jose and Emma
Another decent week. I squeezed in an outside run on Tuesday when Emma had to stay home from daycare. She seemed to feel good enough, so I loaded her into the stroller and headed out. I started with a 3/1 run/walk but after a couple repeats, I turned it into 3/1 WALK/run. It was really windy outside and whoa, pushing the stroller on a windy day was freaking HARD. It was fun to have Emma along, but I’ll have to keep that in mind for the future — I might as well have been dragging a parachute behind me as I attempted to run.
Thursday night was the toughest day this week to keep my little “streak” going. I went out to a wine bar with a few friends, and didn’t get home until 11:00! I probably should have just gone to bed, but NO! I did my daily mile, dang it, even if Jose did think I was a little crazy.
I had intended to run 5 miles today in preparation for the Seabrook Lucky Trails marathon relay next weekend, but Emma’s stomach bug came back with a vengeance last night and no one in our household got a very good night’s sleep. On top of that, I think I’ve got a touch of the same stomach bug. Overall, I just feel icky so we went on a family walk and called it a day. I’m hoping for better sleep tonight and a decent run tomorrow.
