When we last left our heroine, she was in the midst of a fit of post-birth nesting and had just reorganized all the lower cabinets in the kitchen…
…and from there, I moved on to the pantry. Dun dun dunnn.
This took me less than an hour, and made me wonder why I hadn’t ever done a pantry clean-out since we moved into the house 3+ years ago. I mean, there were boxes of dry goods in there that I think made the move from the apartment. Yeah. If it’s a dry good and it’s STILL expired? You KNOW it’s old. And I filled an entire garbage bag with expired stuff! Sad and embarrassingly wasteful.
I also got rid of several things we haven’t used in years — or ever — including a fondue pot, a bread machine (these days if I make bread, I do it from scratch), a, never-used chip & dip platter, and several pristine and unneeded dish towels.
Behold my cleaned up and freshly organized pantry! There’s even room in there to spare now, which was an unexpected but definitely welcome result. It’s kind of ridiculous how happy this makes me.
Up next? The garage!
