Enjoying // Another flex Friday…or I will be, as soon as I take Charlotte’s bottles to daycare because Jose forgot them on his way out the door and I didn’t notice. It’s been a month, but we are definitely still struggling — some days more than others — to find our new groove on weekday mornings. Getting everyone up and dressed and out the door with all their associated paraphernalia is no joke.
Anticipating // A relaxing weekend at home. We went to Corpus Christi last weekend for Jose’s cousin’s wedding (evidence of some of the fun in the photos above) and while that was great, the short weekend trips also leave me pretty wiped out. And after a really busy week at work, I need some down time.
Ordering // A Panthers t-shirt before the Super Bowl! The Panthers’ first season was the fall of my senior year in high school — and they actually played two hours away in South Carolina that year because their new stadium in downtown Charlotte wasn’t finished! So while I’ve never seen them play in person, I’ve always had a soft spot for my hometown team and I’m super excited to (hopefully) see them trounce the Broncos. Go Panthers!
Listening // To stories about Emma’s field trip to the bowling alley yesterday. Yep, the daycare took two classes of 3- and 4-year-olds to the bowling alley — and at what would normally be naptime! (I KNOW. More power to them, right?) They’d been getting the kids worked up about it all week. Jose went along and said Emma had a blast!
Planning // To go strawberry picking this weekend. The farm we always go to has had picking going on for a month already thanks to our very mild winter so far.
