Time // 7:20 am
Place // In a conference room listening to a telecon with the Russians. (The topic I came to hear hasn’t come up yet.)
Eating // Nothing.
Drinking // Skinny cinnamon dolce latte.
Watching // Jose and I decided to dedicate Saturday night as our semi-permanent “at home date night” and watch a movie after Emma goes to bed. We kicked things off last weekend with Argo, which won Best Picture last year (although I had forgotten that). I didn’t see many (any?) of the other nominees so I can’t pass judgment, but Argo was pretty darn good.
Reading // I’ve been catching up on the past few months of Real Simple (which is the only magazine I get anymore) before I go to bed in the evenings. So exciting, I know.
Wanting // Emma to get healthy. She has another cold. Yes, ANOTHER one. I am so ready for her immune system to just kick in already. On the plus side, now that she has ear tubes, all her congestion shouldn’t lead to another ear infection. On the minus side, now that she has ear tubes, all of that gunk has two additional places to ooze out of, so in addition to a runny nose, she has two snotty ears. Yes, snotty EARS. Which is just as gross as it sounds.
Thinking // About what I want to get done while Jose’s mom is here. She arrives tomorrow night for a 9-day visit. On the one hand, it seems kind of sad that I’m so excited to have an extra set of hands merely because that means I’ll be able to get some bigger stuff done around the house. But on the other hand? It’s the truth. So there you go.
Creating // I just finished my skirt, so I’m between craft projects at the moment — but I am working on my Digital Media master’s project. YES, REALLY! It’s time to finish it once and for all. Providing extra motivation this time is the fact that my earliest classes from 2005 and 2006 will start to expire if I don’t finish by May 2014. I’ve scheduled myself to work on Monday and Wednesday evenings after Emma goes to bed, along with a solid work session on Superflex Fridays. At long (very long) last, I am finally going to GET. IT. DONE.
Hoping // For some cooler weather soon. We’re halfway through September but of course it still feels like summer.
Needing // Toilet paper and paper towels. Excitement abounds.
Anticipating // The discussion topic I came to this meeting for! Ooh, good timing, we are starting it right now…
